Saudi Arabia boosts efforts to fight human trafficking mechanism
The Saudi government is putting in all efforts to fight human trafficking.

An agreement was signed between IOM and Saudi Human Rights Commission on Monday to combat human trafficking in the Kingdom.

The agreement aims to improve mechanisms and institutional capacity to support and safeguard victims.

Seven government entities make up the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT), which recently signed an MoU with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to collaborate against human trafficking.

Launched in March, the committee's National Referral Mechanism outlines best practices for handling individual cases, helping combat people trafficking. The document outlines the assigned tasks and responsibilities of relevant authorities in the Kingdom.
