Health Insurance continue to be Covered, If Employers failed to pay on time The Cooperative Health Insurance Council launched the initiative to support and empower the beneficiaries of the insured by allowing the coverage of the private health insurance policy to continue to apply if the business owner failed to meet the payment of insurance premiums starting from 25th May 2020 until receiving further notice from the general secretariat of the council.

The Secretary-General of the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, Dr. Shabab bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, stated that the Council launched several initiatives to support beneficiaries, health insurance companies and health service providers, in the light of the Council's ongoing support to the health insurance sector to enable it to face the results and effects of the outbreak of the Corona virus - Covid 19

 He indicated that among these initiatives is to extend the accreditation of health service providers from April 1 to June 30th, 2020 without collecting the financial compensation for that, according to the conditions determined by the General Secretariat.

In addition to the initiative to support insurance companies and claims management companies, As the collection of the financial compensation for the rehabilitation and renewal processes of these companies has been postponed to supervise the implementation of the system during the period from April 1 to September 30, 2020 to be collected retroactively during the first quarter of the year 2021, so that companies can fulfill their financial obligations towards the parties of the insurance relationship .

 He pointed out that these efforts are derived from the Council's mission, which aims to enhance the health of beneficiaries through a regulatory environment focused on prevention and empowering stakeholders and achieving transparency, justice, quality and efficiency.
