According to the Saudi Press Agency, the first Hajj flight from Tunisia under the Makkah Route initiative landed at Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah.
Pilgrims who were helped by the initiative praised the efforts made to make their travel easier and more comfortable so they could complete their duties.

According to Sami Al-Saidi, the Tunisian consul general to Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom introduces a new service annually to aid the journey of pilgrims arriving from around the globe.
He expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for the services and facilities provided to pilgrims.

More than 225,000 pilgrims from Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Tunisia are expected to be served by the Makkah Route initiative passing through airports.
The service covers visa issuance, health requirement compliance, and luggage sorting in pilgrims' respective countries' airports.

They can skip arrival procedures and go straight to buses waiting to take them to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah.
The authorities in charge of services transport the luggage of pilgrims to their lodging in the sacred cities.
According to statistics from the National Guides Foundation, 479,917 pilgrims have arrived in Madinah since the start of the current Hajj season. From Madinah, 279,700 pilgrims departed for Makkah, while 200,192 stayed behind.
